10 things you can do to stop climate change

Here are 10 things you can do to help stop climate change:

Save energy by turning off the lights. You should also unplug electronics when they are not in use. Also buy energy efficient light bulbs.

Don't drive cars that use gas, get an electric car or walk and bike. You will also save money if you walk or bike. Try to take a train or bus rather than flying or driving. Trains and buses hold a lot more people than planes or cars. Do this so we don't have a lot of cars on the road and planes in the air.

Properly isolate your home so heat doesn't escape. In winter set your heaters so the don't give out too much heat. In summer use fans to circulate air instead of air conditioning.

Conserve water, take short showers and fix any leaks in your home. Turn off the water when you are brushing teeth and while shaving.

Wash clothing in cold water and hang dry it outside. It will also reduce the energy bill and reduce fabric getting weaker.

When replacing appliances buy the high efficiency ones because they don't use too much electricity. Buy appliances with the energy star. That means they use less energy and you save money.

Research where your power is coming from and if it isn't already coming from wind or solar, change it to one of those.

Recycle your glass, plastic and paper.

Re purpose old clothing by donating it or turning it into something new. Make something new out of bottles and bottle caps and cardboard too.

Plant plants that don't use a lot of water. Plant a tree to soak up all the carbon dioxide and provide shade outside of your home.
